One item that a MapAsync pipeline tracks now, with its status. A strategy reads a list of these for the queue of the pipeline. See Admit(TState, AsyncQueuedItem<TInput>, IReadOnlyList<AsyncTrackedItem<TInput>>) and OnCompleted(TState, AsyncQueuedItem<TInput>, AsyncCompletion, IReadOnlyList<AsyncTrackedItem<TInput>>).
